Late Season Turns

Myself and a group of friends skinned up Bridger Bowl to get some late season powder turns today.  Spring comes late (or never) in Montana, and the snow was amazing for being this late in the year.  For me, this will likely close my ski year for 2012-13, but I must say, I skied almost 25 days this winter and will never complain about a year like that.

We skinned from the parking lot up towards the “ridge” and just below some couloirs we opened up and skied a fresh blanket of spring powder.  It wasn’t official “backcountry” skiing, as we were within the bounds of Bridger Bowl, although it had not been open or patrolled in a couple of weeks.

Only thing missing?  My beautiful wife and Gus!
